However, now that the transfer window has closed, Mowbray has no intention of reigniting his interest in the former Crystal Palace wideman on a loan basis.
"I do not know where that story has come from," said Mowbray.
"Routledge was a player we talked about two months ago, but it never materialised and we moved on."
