The Glovers boss is scouring the free agent and trialist market as he looks to bolster a squad which is light on numbers.
"We know that we have a small squad and that there is lots of work to be done both on and off the pitch before we start the season," he told the club's official website.
"There are a few other clubs in the same predicament as us and it's not ideal because you want all your squad together and working together from the first day of pre-season, but it's not like that this time.
"However, we will do all we can to make sure that we have a competitive side come the start of the season."
