Hooper, 22, moved to Parkhead in the summer - with the Scottish side paying Scunthorpe £2.4million for his services.
He scored on his first competitive start, a Champions League qualifier against Braga, but has been unable to make a second appearance after suffering a calf injury in a friendly at Blackburn Rovers.
Hearts visit in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday, and Hooper could be involved.
"I'm hoping to be ready for the Hearts game, I have been in every day except Sundays getting a massage and getting the legs going," he told Celtic's official website.
"I have now done some running and strength work and ball work outside. The international break has done me a favour because I don't miss another game. I will hopefully train with the squad towards the end of the week and be involved in the game."
