Knill cautious over Bury's start

The Shakers have won four and drawn two of their opening six league games this season, to leave them in second place in the fledgling table.

They beat Lincoln City 3-1 on Saturday, but Knill is not placing much importance on league positions so early in the campaign.

"Six games are nothing, there's a long way to go, but you've got to be happy with four wins and two draws," he said.

"If we're getting the same level of performance in 40 games' time, then fantastic.

"But all you can do is beat whoever is in front of you each Saturday and so far we're doing pretty well."

Knill, who was capped once by Wales despite being born in Slough, joined Scunthorpe from Bury in November 1993, leaving for Rotherham United in the summer of 1997.
