He has trialed with Walsall as well as Dale, but impressed the Lancashire side enough to be offered a chance to stay at Spotland.
Dale boss Steve Parkin said: We've offered him a deal for next season.
"We are keen to get it sorted as quickly as possible and hopefully we'll have news on this by the end of the week."
