Wright, 22, was released by the Iron in the summer following relegation to League One.
He played in a reserve game for Leyton Orient against the Lions last week, and although the O's did not take their interest further he was invited to join Millwall on trial.
Wright was brought in as cover for Tamika Mkandawire, who the club now fear faces four months out of action due to a knee injury.
