Can I have the job please?

So, the rumours are wrong, Sven hasn’t signed a pre-contract deal with Chris Holland despite the pictures linking them, I spent all night photoshopping those for the tabloids as well. It leaves us with the question, who is going to take over at Glanford Park?

Well, Lillis has been mentioned, Russ Wilcox, Nigel Clough, Steve Cotterill, Alf Ramsey…but one person has been overlooked so far…me. Here’s why I should get the job:

  1. I’ve won the double with United before, on the last version of Championship Manager. I even managed to broker a ten million pound deal selling Wayne Graves to Manchester United, thanks to their free spending manager…me. OK, I cheated, but I’d do it again in real life. The Manchester United board may need a bit of persuading.

  1. I’m vegetarian so the chances of me having a plate of chicken to hand to throw at a player are slim

  1. I haven’t, as yet, wet myself as an adult

  1. I work at night, so I could concentrate on the job in the day. Night matches will be a bit tight, I’d have to leave early, but it’s not like anything ever happens in the last few minutes of our games. I could leave the game knowing we’d hang on to the win if we were one up.

  1. I’m 25, younger than mangers usually are, but still much older than most of our squad, so that’s not a problem

  1. This is the clincher… “Jim Coulson’s Barmy Army” scans, “Russ Wilcox’s…” doesn’t.

There you go. I await the job offer in the post
